This month, we welcome Sean O’Brien who has joined the WAVE team as the Partnership Development and Training Manager. Sean’s core responsibilities include managing partnerships with various stakeholder groups in the WAVE ecosystem along with leading the development of training for PhD students, and users of the WAVE platform.
Sean is a qualified chemistry and physics teacher and has managed and led multiple projects and programs over the past 14 years, primarily focusing on engaging stakeholders with STEM education and research. He has extensive experience in managing research projects, particularly within the Research Ireland ecosystem, having joined the University of Limerick in 2018 as the EPE Programme Manager for the CONFIRM Centre. He also has extensive experience in the development, delivery, and evaluation of bespoke training programmes. Sean holds a B.Sc. in Science Education and a M.Sc. in Project and Programme Management, both from University of Limerick.
