This month, we were delighted to welcome Veronica Ferrarese to the University of Limerick. Veronica is completing her PhD jointly between the Conservatory of Aosta Valley and the Università degli Studi di Torino.
Veronica is a clarinettist and PhD researcher investigating mathematical methods of music analysis as a resource for both performers and learners. Her project combines artistic research on how mathematical analysis can inform interpretative choices in contemporary solo clarinet repertoire with the design and evaluation of technology-supported music–mathematics learning pathways for lower secondary school students.
Veronica will spend two months at UL working with faculty, researchers and staff within the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems to further develop her research approach.
